"Consecration Ceremony "
It was announced on May 3, 2009, that Pastor Bill Hines would be elevated to the office of Bishop Designate. This elevation would then lead to the Consecration as Bishop. As Bishop, Pastor Hines will serve as pastoral covering, and give oversight and provide guidance to pastors and church’s affiliated within the SWIF organization. His responsibilities will also include being a spiritual father and mentor amongst pastors and leaders. Ceremony will begin on Sunday, October 4th at 4 pm. Special guests include: Apostle Gene A. Moore and Bishop John Hickman.

Minister Wilford “Trey” Davis was born in Houston, TX to Wilford and Wanda Davis. After graduating from Willowridge High School, he attended Texas Southern University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre/Cinema. Minister Davis serves as Minister of Music of New Covenant Christian Church in Houston, TX, under the leadership of Bishop Bill & Co-Pastor Cheryl Hines. He is also an educator at Felix Cook, Jr. Elementary School in the Houston Independent School District.For over fifteen years, Minister Davis has been heavily involved in music ministry. He has served as accompanist and music director for various gospel artists such as Minister Ronald James Materre, Jackie Smith and Y.D.M. (Youth Development Ministry), Kathy Taylor, Women of Integrity, and V. Michael McKay. Minister Davis also the founder of Immanence Music Ministries of Houston.Minister Davis is married to LaToya Chentile Davis, and is the father of one daughter, Meghan Elyse Davis.
Throughout his service towards God, Minister Davis strives to let his gifts and talents speak for itself and to avoid the superstar label.

I believe that music is one of the few things in life that can cross all boundaries and touch people regardless of where they are in life. It's exciting to be alive during a time when the entire face of Christian music is changing. My goal is to keep you abreast of those changes as they happen, and with a classroom full of 5th graders and teens at the church, you can be sure I am always on top of all the current music trends.

The Music & Worship Arts Ministry of New Covenant Christian Church is a ministry where individual’s gifts such as singing, musical instruments, dancing and acting are offered to God. With these gifts, the atmosphere is cultivated for worship and it gives parishioners an opportunity to give back to God the gifts He has given them.
